“Jolly Old St. Nicholas”, “O Christmas Tree”, and “Jingle Bells” are the three Christmas pieces that make up this intermediate sonatina. It begins in the key of C Major with the first movement, then changes to the key of G Major for the last two.

This is a short, fun arrangement of a popular Christmas song that was written by Benjamin Hanby from Ohio in 1864. The melody is shared by both hands alternately and left hand melodic octaves are used a lot to help keep the rhythm going.

Written in the Key of D Minor, this Halloween piece begins with the secondo playing the first section alone, with the primo adding in on the repeat and playing throughout the rest. It has a bouncy, moderate rhythm that “swings” the eighth notes, and the primo does a brief “cross hand” part in the middle section. It is in ternary form.
